What are Tifosi Moab Cycling Glasses?
Tifosi Moab Cycling Glasses are protective sunglasses designed for cycling and active sports. They feature a shield, fully adjustable arm and nose pieces, hydrophilic rubber ear and nose pads that increase grip the more you sweat. They’re built with advanced technology and offer comfort and resilience. They come inside of a zippered hardshell case and include a microfiber cleaning bag. The glasses come with 3 different shatterproof polycarbonate lenses: Clarion Deep Purple, AC Red, and Clear.
How was my experience testing the glasses and three different lenses?
- Clarion Deep Purple This lens is designed for full sun conditions. It has a water-repelling purple mirror and a smoke tint. I used this one the most as I enjoyed that even with the colored lens, objects looked the same as they do without the lens. It’s comfortable, sturdy, and stylish.
- AC Red This lens is designed for overcast conditions. It has a tint for improving contrast. This one is second for me: the red color is nice but I just liked how the purple lens looked inside of the matching purple frame.
- Clear This lens is designed for rain and dark conditions. It is a low light protection lens. I don’t wear sunglasses in the rain or dark, so this was a bit strange for me. I can see how it would be useful while cycling in the rain. I tried wearing it as I watched my son’s soccer game on a dusty night. But it made me dizzy so I just couldn’t wear it. I wear contact lens so that could have played a part.
Overall, I liked the sunglasses as they’re pretty comfortable and reliable. I enjoyed wearing them everywhere, whether I was driving, going on walks, or observing active sports. They’re easy to store and clean. However, it was a bit tricky to change the lenses and the ear pieces have limited flexibility.
Pros
- They’re comfortable. The nose pieces are adjustable and the glasses as a whole feel lightweight.
- The sunglasses are stylish. They have a retro vibe and look good on all face types. My husband wore them for a bit and also liked how they looked.
- They come with 3 different lenses. Each lens has a designated purpose to fit specific environments.
- They block out the sun and provide protection from debris. I can attest the sunglasses really do provide sun and debris protection.
- The sunglasses are affordable. At $90, these sunglasses are a great buy for the technology and durability they deliver.
Cons
- It’s a bit of a challenge to switch out the lenses. I followed the instructions that come with the sunglasses, but I still had to tug at the frame a bunch of times to get them out. It took me about 10 minutes to switch them out.
- The earpieces are not as adjustable as specified. They definitely have limited flexibility.
- While they are fairly comfortable, the nose pieces become uncomfortable after long use. Even though the nose pieces are adjustable, they still bothered me a bit after a couple of hours.

- Make sure you have everything. There’s a list of the pieces in the manual and on Tifosi’s website.
- Open the zippered hardshell case carefully. You don’t want the frame or any of the lenses to fall to the floor or break.

I received review product from Tifosi, the company that makes the MOAB Cycling Glasses. The sunglasses are versatile and comfortable for the most part. I felt stylish with the different lens colors and like I should get a new bike to go with it.
Overall, the sunglasses are great. I wear them driving, taking walks outside, and at my son’s t-ball practices and games. I like how easy they are to store and that they are shatterproof. They get extra points for style. I’ll probably continue to wear them into the summertime. I use the Clarion Deep Purple the most, as it’s such a pretty color!
