BEIS has become one of the most popular names in trendy travel items and accessories over the last couple of years. The brand was founded in 2018 by actress Shay Mitchell and has since became a staple for durable, stylish pieces that are made to last.
As a frequent traveler, I’m a huge fan of BEIS luggage and carry-on items, but this was my first time trying one of their backpacks. When it comes to diaper backpacks, shoppers naturally have more needs than they do for your standard backpacks, but knowing how much I love the innovative design and features of other BEIS products, I had high hopes for the BEIS Ultimate Diaper Backpack.

You can’t deny that the BEIS Ultimate Diaper Backpack is attractive. If you’re not into bright, flashy colors and designs and prefer a sleek, minimalist look, you’ll love this diaper bag. It has a very gender-neutral design, making it ideal to share between parents carrying it.
If you know anything about BEIS products, you know that they’re extremely well thought out. Every feature of this bag has been carefully considered with the needs of busy, traveling parents in mind. From the detachable diaper dispenser/fanny pack to the built-in changing pad, there’s a lot to love about the bag from an aesthetic and feature aspect. Of course, the durability feels pretty solid, too. When you’re paying a pretty penny for a diaper bag, it certainly has the quality feel you’d expect.

Features That Make Life Easy
There’s a few key selling features when you take a look at the BEIS Ultimate Diaper Bag. Firstly, the back portion of the backpack becomes a built-in changing pad to make it easy to change your baby’s diaper on-the-go. This is one feature not every diaper bag has, and a clear perk for busy traveling parents.
There’s tons of storage both in the interior and exterior of this backpack, to make it easy to find what you need in a pinch. I also like the insulated bottle pocket, ideal for storing breast milk. The laptop sleeve in the back of the backpack is great for traveling parents, eliminating the need for another bag beyond your diaper bag. This is my favorite feature because I frequently fly with my laptop and want something that’s TSA-friendly, yet also has lots of room for baby and nursing gear.

Limitations
As much as I love so many of the features of this bag, there’s one primary limitation: its size. My hope is that BEIS will hear the needs of consumers, and their product development team will soon create a “mini” version of this backpack, ideal for smaller parents.
The size of your diaper bag is an important consideration. If you’re anywhere under 5’3″, this bag will likely overwhelm you. Space-wise, it’s excellent that it can hold so much, but for me, at only 5 feet tall, it’s nearly impossible to walk with this backpack, even without anything in it. It looks too big for my frame and, at 4.5 pounds without anything in it, it could quickly get weighty once full (and while you’re holding a baby, too).
Even if you’re not super short like I am, the large size of this diaper backpack may not be necessary for everyday errands. Instead, it’s a great choice as a personal item to go under the seat on a plane. Likewise, if you’re simple and minimalist, it’s not necessarily something you’d want to take everywhere on a daily basis. And, although stroller straps are included, the large size of this backpack could add some serious weight to your walks.

Overall, I truly love all of the BEIS products I’ve tried, and the Ultimate Diaper Backpack is no exception, from its streamlined design to its many features designed for functionality for parents.
Overall, I’d recommend this diaper backpack to the parent who has a need for a large, spacious diaper bag for either two kids or for travel. For an everyday grocery store run, it may overwhelm you. This diaper bag may also work better for parents with a taller or larger frame, but could be too large for petite parents.
