I’ve never been one to buy, wear, or gravitate towards bright colors or patterns. There’s something about too many clashing patterns or colors that overstimulates me and makes it quite hard to focus.

But, are the aesthetics of this popular baby swing enough to warrant the price?
From assembly to use, I checked out all of the features the Jool Baby Nova Nature Baby Swing to help you decide if it’s worth the splurge. Priced just under $200, this surely isn’t the cheapest baby swing you’ll find on the market, but I’ll explain why I think it’s one “aesthetic luxury” item worth the buy (or worth adding to your baby registry so someone else can make the splurge for you).

I’m not handy (at all). So, you can trust me when I say that if I was able to put together this swing in under 15 minutes, you can, too. All you need is a regular screwdriver and you’ll have this popular registry item assembled in no time.
After unboxing, you’ll find all parts clearly assembled, along with a clear instruction manual. I found the assembly steps included in the box easy to follow. However, if you’re more of a visual learner, you can also watch the easy assembly YouTube video. As parents, we have a lot to worry about. We certainly don’t need to be worrying about purchasing difficult-to-assemble products.
Features To Love
In terms of other baby swings on the market, there’s a lot to choose from. Obviously, the design of this particular swing first drew me to it, although the fact that, at about 7 pounds, I don’t find it too cumbersome to move around in my home helps a lot, too. I like that I can bring it upstairs or downstairs in my house and never have to worry about it being an eyesore. I opted for the Gray color, but there’s also a lighter Oatmeal (more of a beige) color as well as a darker Slate color. All of the colors are super cute and will work for either gender baby.
Beyond aesthetics, there’s several features to love about the Jool Baby Nova Nature Baby Swing:
Included Remote: The included remote makes it easy for you to adjust the settings from across the room, ranging from 1 to 5 (5 being the most intense swing). There’s also a small remote pouch included on the back of the seat where you can store the remote when not in use.
Bluetooth Integration: The built-in speaker system works well for playing soothing music for your baby. You can play your own or choose from the 10 songs included in the system.
Toy Bar or Sun Cover: If you have a patio or outdoor space in your home, the sun cover will come in handy. The sun cover and toy bar are interchangeable. When indoors, remove the sun cover and add the toy bar for some hanging stimulation for your baby. When outdoors, add the sun cover/canopy to ensure your baby is comfortable in the shade.

In My Expert Opinion
Overall, baby products are a hard thing to review because every baby is different. For some babies, this product might not provide enough stimulation/movement, but others may find the gentle movement just perfect. If your baby likes more movement, a bouncer might be preferable to a swing.
Because every baby is different, I don’t think a baby item should be reviewed based on whether a baby liked it or not. Instead, I’ve chosen to keep this review focused on the construction, durability, assembly, and features of this product.
If you’re looking for a durable and neutral-colored baby swing, I think this product is worth the splurge (or worth asking for as a gift on your registry). The product was easy to assemble and feels very sturdy. If you plan on having multiple children, this feels like the type of staple product that will pay itself back in the long run, as having the ability to put your baby down in a safe and comfortable spot while keeping them occupied so you can do other things is a total game-changer.
