“Better for you” cooking pans are becoming more popular as health-conscious consumers pay more attention to the items they buy for their kitchen. As someone who cares a great deal about the quality of my cooking products, I first noticed the “PFAS-free” label on the GreenPan Reserve Pro Line.
These ceramic nonstick pans do not contain chemicals that older, Teflon pans have, making them a smart choice if you’re looking to upgrade your kitchen gear. From unboxing to use, here’s what I thought about the pans and their performance.
Sizes Included in the Set

This set of 2 GreenPan Reserve Pro pans comes with both a 10″ frypan and a 12″ frypan. Personally, I love the size selection in this set, as these are the sizes I most frequently use in everyday cooking. The smaller, 10-inch is perfect for cooking eggs or omelets and the larger is perfect for cooking stir-frys and meats like ground beef. Though a larger pan would have been nice, larger pans tend to sit in my kitchen and rarely get used.

Style and Appearance
There’s nothing to complain about in terms of the style and appearance of this GreenPan Reserve Pro set. The stunning macadamia color looks sleek and beautiful with the gold handles, making this frypan set more than just a functional cookware set but also a statement. The modern, sleek design with neutral coloring will look great in any kitchen.
If you prefer a pop of color for your frypan set, this GreenPan Reserve Pro set also comes in a huge selection of other colors. Brighter color selections include the Seaside and Harvest colors. For those who are like me and prefer neutrals, the White and Black are also great options. Like many frypan sets, the 10 and 12-inch pans can be nested in each other to make storage easy (thanks to the angled handles).

Cooking Functionality

Though looks always matter, the most important thing in purchasing cookware is its functionality. These pans work well on any type of stovetop, including both gas and electric. I first tried these pans to make eggs on my gas stovetop and was instantly impressed.
According to GreenPan, it takes less than two minutes for conventional nonstick pans to overheat and release forever chemicals into your food. I appreciated knowing these pans were healthier for me and my family, making cooking a bit more enjoyable. These pans are made with GreenPan’s unique Thermolon 9G toxin-free surface, which does not contain any forever chemicals and can withstand temperatures up to 600°F.
While cooking, I found the grip of the matte handles to be nice and easy. It’s ideal for things that involve a lot of moving around, like tossing a stir fry. Overall, these pans performed just as well as any old pan you’ve been holding onto. If you cook regularly at home, it’s worth the investment to know chemicals aren’t leaking into your food every time you cook.
In My Expert Opinion
When it comes to shopping for “better-for-you” cookware for your home, there are a lot of options on the market. I’ve tried stainless steel, copper, aluminum, and other types of frying pans. I’ve found that there are multiple great surfaces — but the choice comes down to your personal preference.
For the average home cook looking to toss old, chemical-ridden pans, the GreenPan Reserve Pro set is worth the splurge. While the price is hefty for only two pans, it is actually much cheaper than other comparable products on the market. I also like the peace of mind of the limited lifetime warranty provided by GreenPan on these products.
