The double stroller is a beast in a category of its own — they can be heavy and bulky, cumbersome and even too wide to get through doorways. Parents with more than one small child everywhere can breath a bit easier with this newer option from NUNA, the Side by Side Double TRVL. As a mom of 5 little kids under age 10, this is a stroller I was wishing existed a decade ago. Now, I tested it for multiple months, both around the town and on trips, with my younger two kids — ages 1 and 3, after acquiring the product as a press sample.
The NUNA Side by Side Double TRVL is a highly portable and travel-friendly double stroller, with a one hand fold function that means just that — you barely have to try to get it to fold to a position where you can grab it and load in a vehicle. Each of the seats is adjustable, so nap time is quite easy without waking up a dozing kid. It comes with a travel case, a waterproof cover, and easy to use sun protector canopies, with small airflow holes. Finally, it is a great looking stroller, with leather accents and material that holds up against spills, dirt, and normal kid wear and tear.

The Magical One-Hand Fold
In recent years, parents purchasing new strollers have come to expect the magical one hand fold function, which means you can be holding a fussing toddler in one arm and still fold and transport your stroller easily with the other. However, it’s a newer feature that hasn’t completely taken over the double stroller world, as they are bulkier and usually require a few more steps than that. So, this stroller brings the ease of a single stroller to families with more kids. I also love that the slide style button is easy enough for parents but not easy enough for an older sibling to try to collapse the stroller with a kid riding inside. These small details make this stroller both easy to use but one of the safer ones I’ve tested too.
No Shortage of Helpful Little Features
It only takes one time to wake up a sleeping kid trying to lay back their stroller seat to realize you really hate a stroller. Luckily, this NUNA solves for that, with a simple adjustable setting that you can pull, after you learn how to do it the first time. Another little feature with big impact is the bar that crosses both kids’ laps. It’s easy enough for them to learn how to push the button to open and close it themselves once they are big enough, but not too easy that young kids can detach it during a ride. I’d like to see a bit more ease of use with the five point harness process, because sometimes the pads get in the way, bu otherwise the small features are on point with this product.
Easy Maneuverability
This stroller turns easily even if you are just steering with one finger, and does an excellent job navigating multiple types of terrain, whether it’s cutting across your front yard, or moving over some bumpier paths like gravel. Luckily, it doesn’t struggle to keep up, isn’t too bumpy, and seems to operate as a stroller with larger all-terrain wheels would. So, this stroller is useful if you are going to navigate almost any terrain, aside from a beach or deep forest walks.
