The diffuser arrived in a sleek, simple box — nothing flashy, just elegant. Inside was the glass bottle filled with diffuser oil, securely sealed to prevent leaks. It also includes 10 reeds, tied together with some twine.
Getting started is simply a matter of removing the cap (which operates like a cork) and inserting the reeds. The tough part is deciding where to store it. If you have kids or pets, you’ll want to make sure it can’t easily be knocked off.
First Impressions
Some diffusers hit you like a perfume sample at the mall. Others require you to hover within two inches just to catch a whiff.
This one? It’s the Goldilocks of home fragrance — just right.
Within an hour, I noticed a subtle scent while sitting nearby, working. It wasn’t too strong or too faint.
As for the scent, I don’t really think of grapefruit when the fragrance wafts over to me. It’s citrusy, for sure, but the balance of citrus and sea salt keeps it from smelling like you just peeled some fruit.

One Week Later
After seven days with this diffuser, the oil seems to have barely moved. That’s good news. It means this oil will last. The reeds are still doing their job, and the scent seems to be consistent. Here are my thoughts after being an owner for a solid week.
Scent Strength
If you’re hoping to cover up strong odors like last night’s fresh fish or your pet’s wet fur, you’ll be disappointed. Oil diffusers output a more subtle smell, designed to blend. It whispers, where sprays and candles shout. Every now and then, I get a strong whiff of scent, but most of the time, I don’t even notice it’s there.
Maintenance

Flexibility
As with other reed diffusers, you can control the scent through the number of reeds. If you’re freshening a smaller space, use two to three reeds, maxing out at 10 reeds for larger spaces. You can also add and subtract reeds based on how strong you want the scent.
Ease of Use
This is my first-ever reed diffuser, and I have to say, I wish I’d discovered them sooner. It doesn’t get easier than this. Simply flip the reeds every week and enjoy months of fragrance.
Value
If you typically get your air fresheners from your local grocery store, this probably won’t be worth the extra expense. However, if, like me, you’ve spent a small fortune on Bath & Body Works plug-in fresheners over the years, you may actually save money. One $60 investment gives you three to four months of worry-free aroma. Refills are $42.
