I love plants, but I’m not the biggest fan of gardening tasks. In particular, I don’t like repotting plants. When I bring home a plant from the garden center in one of those black pots, I truly have the best intentions of getting them into a prettier pot within a week or two.
Spoiler alert: The plants hardly ever make it out of those dreary black pots.
Try as I might, the chore of replanting my plants hardly ever makes it to the top of my to-do list.

What is a So.CachePot Plant Cover?
Essentially, the So.CachePot planter cover holds an existing potted plant. You don’t have to repot the plant. Instead, you can just put the potted plant you have into the plant cover pot and all.
When the team at South 23rd offered to send over a sample, I was definitely intrigued.

How It Works
The plant covers I received were packaged perfectly with simple instructions on how to set up the plant cover. Basically, all I had to do was unroll the plant cover before adding two plastic triangles into precut holes. These plastic bits hold up the plant cover.
Once it’s set up, I put my potted plant into the plant cover, and that was it!
Why I Loved It
It was truly a simple process that took me all of three minutes to complete. Much easier than repotting the plant the traditional way.
Beyond the simple setup, the plant covers appear to be very durable. They’re made from a polyester material that feels like canvas, complete with a hole at the bottom for seamless drainage for my potted plants.
In terms of the price point, it seems on par with, if not more competitive than, high-end pots — without all the work.
A Note of Uncertainty
I love the way these plant covers look, and how easy it is to set up.
But I do wonder how well my plants will like living in these pots for the long-term. Eventually, plants do need more space, so if I always opt for these plant covers, I might not be giving the plants enough room to grow.
For now, I’m thrilled with this plant cover. Only time will tell if my plants agree with my enthusiasm.

Replanting, But Easier
I love how easy the So.CachePot made it to spruce up my patio this spring, without the hassle of lugging back yet another bag of dirt from the store or the mess of actually replanting. I can definitely see myself adding a few more of these to my deck as the spring unfolds.
