To be honest, I don’t really have many good things to say about this. I bought this game at Best Buy with a few accessories, like Joy-Cons, Steering Wheels and an aftermarket Joy-Con charger (which I still haven’t opened yet).
First of all, the game comes on a game-key card, which would have been fine if the game was like 5-10 gb in size, but it was 48.3 gb and took about 4 hours to download, filling up over 20 percent of the memory on my Nintendo Switch 2.
My initial excitement to play the game evaporated during the hours it took to download. I really wasn’t happy with that experience.

Next, when I started playing the game, I realized the buttons weren’t working the way that I was used to for Street Fighter games. I later discovered that you can fight in “modern” and “classic” modes, which wasn’t that big of a deal, because all I had to do was switch back to the modern settings, but was an annoying surprise nonetheless.

- Looks good on a TV.

- Takes up 20 percent of the Switch's storage space.
- Really expensive for what it is.
- Doesn't look good on handheld.
- Capcom has enough resources to put games on the cartridge itself but chose not to.
- Not compatible with accessibility features like text to voice.
There are, in fact, a few different gameplay modes. You can play versus fights, which are fun and hold a lot of the traditional elements of Street Fighter. There is also a story mode, in which you get to build out a character and design their entire avatar to look however you want. I did my best to try to make it look as close to me as possible.
Story mode is difficult to play on this game. Let me tell you why.
First off, I wanted to play this game in handheld mode, but in story mode, the graphics are just not it. You have so many pixelated views of the characters that it makes the story mode of the Street Fighter 6 game unplayable.
I tried switching it to the TV to see if it would be any better, and while the graphics had drastically improved, I was hoping that I could use the accessibility settings for the Nintendo Switch 2 to have the game read off the text of the conversations held between the characters.
It didn’t work. Next, I tried to increase the font size and put a translucent block behind the text to see if it would do any better. That didn’t help either. I can see TV shows and movies fine on my TV. I don’t want to go to my car to get my glasses specifically to play Street Fighter.
My TV isn’t like 32 inches either. It’s a 55 inch 4k HDR TV, so you would think it would be fine to read the text off the screen, but I just couldn’t really do it.
However, let’s talk about the positives.
The game graphics on the TV in fighting mode are great. I could see myself playing this for 30 minutes to an hour against friends.
Okay, I got the positives out of my system.

Do I think this game is worth what I paid for it? No… I think it’s worth about $20-$30, max… If you see it on sale for that amount, it could be worth swooping up, but keep in mind that 20 percent of your Switch’s storage space is in jeopardy to own this game…
I hope Capcom reads this and reconsiders putting the rest of their games on Game-Key cards, especially if they are over 10gb in size.
