I’m not quite sure when block heels became popular, but I know I’ve been a fan for as long as I’ve been wearing heels. Optimal Heel Height
I’m only 5 feet tall, so I’m a big fan of any shoe that gives me a little height. However, in my experience, most block heels are a minimum of 3 inches which can be a little too much for everyday wear (especially the office).
As soon as I opened the box of the Nisolo Stella Block Heel Sandals, I noticed they were visually shorter than every other pair of block heel sandals I own. This instantly got me excited because they offer more versatility to add just a slight bit of height without going over the top. The company calls these block heel sandals “go-to” heels because you can truly wear them anywhere (the office, a casual brunch, a baby shower — you name it).
Like most block heels, the Nisolo Stella Block Heel provides stability and comfort as you walk. If you’re anything like me and not the best at walking in thin heels, these shoes will quickly become a favorite.

Color Selection
There’s a time and a place for fun, bright colored heels. However, I prefer “basic” colors on a regular basis. Nisolo’s Stella Block Heels come in a standard matte black (not shiny) and almond color, both of which pair with any outfit.
The almond color is great for summer and spring, whereas the black is ideal for the fall and winter. If you want a shoe that comes in bright, bold colors, you may find the color selection a bit bland here. However, this shoe is designed to be the basic option in your closet that effortlessly pairs with any outfit.
One caveat: I wish they had a brown shade and a true “camel” color shade to add to my closet. I also wish they had some dressier color options like a shiny black instead of the matte.

Sizing and Fit
I have both a small, yet slightly-wide foot, which can make finding heels very difficult. Almost every time I try on a pair of heels, I’m prepared for the front of my foot (toe area) to be crammed into a narrow strap area.
My foot isn’t quite wide enough to always need a true “wide” size, but it’s wide enough that most standard shoes feel narrow. To my surprise, I found that the Nisolo Stella Block Heels fit pretty well. My foot was slightly pushing out on the side, but not too much where they’re not wearable.
If you have a true “wide” foot, you will likely find these shoes to be too narrow. Sadly, Nisolo does not currently have an offering for wide sizes. On that note, those who have a narrow foot may find the shoe to be too wide.

You can probably find a cheap pair of block heels at Target for $35 or less — but you won’t get the quality, comfort, or durability of these Nisolo Stella Block Heels. Priced at $150, consider these heels an investment in your wardrobe.
These block heels can be worn for so many occasions and purposes, making them well worth the investment. If you value quality and want shoes that will hold up with regular wear, these Stella Block Heels deserve a place in your closet.
