There’s just something calming about a freshly vacuumed floor, but doing the actual vacuuming? Meh. It helps when I have convenient tools handy to make cleaning the house a more efficient process. Normally we use a corded Dyson vacuum, and prior to 2022, I really hadn’t used cordless stick vacs. After I was sent this Greenworks cordless vacuum in 2022 by their PR agency, I have to say it’s perfect for quick clean-ups.

Multiple Power Modes and LED Lights
The 24V vac has a 500W brushless motor with a suction power of about 170 watts. It has three power modes, and I use the highest mode nearly all the time. You should also know that I have a cat who sheds and tends to fling his dry kibble and his kitty litter across the floor. So, that’s kind of a lot for a little vacuum to handle.

The highest mode handles it well, for the most part, although sometimes I do need to detach the brush head and use the stick part of the vacuum to suck up the bits of kitty litter that fall from the bristles after the vac shuts off.
The LED light spotlights all that dirt and debris (and fur) I’m vacuuming up. It’s oddly satisfying to watch it all disappear! You can see the power level and battery life on the digital display, conveniently placed at the top of the vacuum for easy visibility. The washable HEPA filter is a big plus for pet owners like me, ensuring cleaner air and fewer allergens — though I admit I haven’t washed it yet (oops!)
The Run-Time Is Short, But It’s Got Handy Extras
With a quick 30-minute charge, the vacuum will be ready to tackle messes that pop up. My model came with a wall mount, which I haven’t used. (I just place the vacuum in the charger and rest it on the floor to give it a recharge.)
The brand notes a charge can last up to 45 minutes. Since I use it on the highest power mode, though, I only end up getting about 10 minutes of run time. Because of that, I tend to only use this vacuum when I have a small area that needs a touch-up. I stick with my Dyson for my whole-home cleaning days.
It comes with four attachments (a deep cleaning brush, a 2-in-1 round brush, a crevice tool, and soft bristled brush), which honestly, I don’t use often. But, detaching the “stick” part of the vacuum is a breeze since it simply requires pressing a button. From there, I can easily snap in an attachment to tackle awkward spaces like carpeted stairs or the spaces between couch cushions.
I like that the whole vacuum is relatively lightweight, plus the canister empties nicely with the press of a button. Occasionally I have to reach my hand in there to dig out a furball or two that gets stuck, but that’s to be expected when you have pets.

Excellent for Quick Clean-Ups
All in all, having a cordless vacuum at home is super convenient when I have a small mess to clean up quickly. While my trusty Dyson is still my go-to for whole-house cleaning, the Greenworks cordless vacuum still gets used for touch-ups since it’s easier to maneuver.
