Getting dressed when the weather is unpredictable can be HARD. I live in New England, where we have a series of “false springs” before the weather is predictably nice. Luckily, Hello Molly has so many solutions, from sweaters to light jackets, that make transitional dressing EASY.

I first became a fan when I did this piece on their gorgeous fur coats, and am so excited to work with them again on spring pieces. Each one is an absolute stunner and I’m thrilled to be able to share them with you.
Shoulder Tie Sweater
First off, the sweaters. I have to say that I think this sweater is GENIUS. As recently as last season, fashion editors and influencers alike were suggesting that if you found a great sweater, buy two. No, not in a second color, the exact same item. Why? To tie it around your shoulders, of course.
Sweater Weather Knit
I know we’re trying to shift towards more sustainable fashion, and this seems crazy. Hello Molly had a genius design to replicate this look without the extra piece — say hello to this perfect shoulder-tie sweater.
First off, the color is literally ideal for transition. It has an icy hue that calls back to frostier days, but it’s pastel so it hearkens the best of springtime’s archetypal palette. And this tie feature is just too cute! I think it looks preppy and chic while being a little cheeky. I’ve received so many compliments on it!
Sweetness Overshirt Jacket
The second sweater is basically if lemon sherbet were spun into fabric. I’m obsessed! It’s Hello Molly’s “Sweater Weather” and she’s sunshine in the form of a top. It’s a soft, light sweater that’s got really elegant balloon sleeves and a crop that hits just the right spot. This will look great paired with some light linen pants when it gets even warmer, but for now, I’ve been wearing it with Hello Molly’s high-necked denim jacket.
Now, onto the jackets! Now, this comes with a caveat: YES this jacket is denim, and YES this jacket is cool.
I really, really strongly dislike wearing a traditionally-cut denim jacket. I’m 46, and they just look old and frumpy and that is not my vibe. I get a lot of hate for this opinion, mostly “YOU CAN PRY MY DENIM JACKET FROM MY COLD, DEAD HANDS,” but I often offer alternative such as bombers, cropped trenches, and DIFFERENTLY STYLED denim jackets, such as this next one.
Why is this one cooler than your Bruce Springsteen-esque jean jacket? For so many reasons, but namely the cut. Hello Molly’s “Sweetness Overshirt Jacket” is chic on so many levels.
Right now, the “it” shade of denim is DARK. I love this inky indigo shade, and it’s a nice far cry from the 80’s looking distressed denim jacket. It’s also just really sharp. The material is nice and stiff, which hearkens to the current trend of Japanese “raw selvedge” denim.
But the biggest feature of this coat is its collar: a funnel-neck. If you’re in the fashion space, you’ll know this is THE collar of the moment. It’s so elegant, and really elevates the material for a high-low look.

The next jacket is so perfect to dress up or down! Brown is the IT neutral of 2026, and suede is having a moment.
So, this Hello Molly faux-suede bomber called “Out Now” is my go-to in most temps. Bombers are a great mid-year coat, and I think it’s just-Western-enough to tick off that trend in a way that doesn’t scream “costume.”
It’s effortlessly cool and really compliments everything in my spring wardrobe. I’ve styled it with the tie-sweater, but I think throwing this over a sundress come warmer temps would be just chef’s kiss.
